Off late, he’s known as the King Midas of Bollywood. He’s believed to
have that golden touch and every project that he takes up, becomes a
success. Born on March 14, 1965, Aamir began his professional career
with Holi (1984). He had his first commercial success with Qayamat Se
Qayamat Tak (1988). He is known for films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar,
Dil, Raja Hindustani, Ghajini, 3 Idiots and many others.He produced his
first movie Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001). The film went on
to become a blockbuster hit and went on to be nominated for the Oscars.
That same year he set up his own production house called Aamir Khan
Productions Ltd. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma
Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010 for his contributions towards
the arts.
